Why We Exist
Teaching
Teaching God’s Word so believers are grounded in truth and grow in faith and maturity.
Fellowship
Sharing life together in authentic relationships rooted in the identity we share in Christ.
The Lord’s Table
Remembering Christ’s sacrifice by sharing in His body and blood and celebrating our unity in Him.
Prayer
Seeking God’s guidance, strength, and presence as we depend on Him in all we do.
We move forward together, devoted to teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer — equipping and building up the body of Christ for the work of ministry.
Ministry
We equip and build up the body of Christ so every believer is prepared to do the work of the ministry within and beyond our walls.
Where We’re Headed
Forward to Fulfill
the Great Commission
We believe Jesus calls His church to move forward — sharing the gospel, making disciples, and seeing lives transformed by His grace.
What We Live By
Core
Values
Our values are guiding principles that keep the vision of Forward Church clear. They reflect our priorities, shape how we live out our faith, and keep us unified in our mission to glorify God.
01
The Finished Work of Christ
The cross worked. The resurrection worked. It is finished, and we live from that reality rather than working toward it.
02
Rooted in New Covenant Identity
We help believers see themselves the way God sees them in Christ, and we teach and disciple from that identity, not toward it.
03
Authentic Community
We live what we speak — walking together in honesty, love, and genuine faith.
04
Honoring One Another
We honor each person as God’s creation and reflect His love.
05
Joyful Worship
We worship Jesus with joy and passion, celebrating His presence and the finished work that gives us hope.
06
Generous Living & Faith in Action
Blessed to be a blessing, we give our time, gifts, and resources, taking ownership of God's mission by serving others.
our forward story
For decades, one faithful family prayed that God would bless this town with another church to glorify His name and strengthen what He was already doing here. In His perfect timing, God placed that same calling in the hearts of our lead pastors, who were originally from Germany and later led to Switzerland, then to Colorado in the United States, and finally to Wisconsin. It has been a long and beautiful journey, and every step has been guided by God as He prepared and called our pastors to answer that prayer.
In September 2025, Forward Church held its first Vision Night in Siren. Just one month later, two dedicated families gathered in a home with one desire: to plant a church that would reach their community and beyond with the good news of Jesus Christ. We are still in the early stages of this church plant, taking steady steps forward as we follow what God is doing in our midst.
Forward Church is part of the River Valley Fellowship of Ministries (RVFM), a network focused on the development, support, and care of ministers, ministries and churches.
What we believe
Forward Church affirms the Apostles’ Creed and Nicene Creed as faithful expressions of the historic Christian faith shared by believers throughout the centuries. In these creeds, the word “catholic” is understood in its original sense, meaning “universal,” and it refers to the worldwide Church of Jesus Christ, made up of all true believers everywhere.
This Confession of Faith is written in a modern, clear style to guide our teaching, discipleship, and worship, while remaining faithful to the historic truths of Scripture.
